Hi
Congratulations, may I ask when you applied and how long the process took, this would really help me.
My understanding is that the assessment is good for 1 year, ie you need to sit the CRNE within 1 year of your eligibility to sit exam.

Hi there gcctocanada

My assessment was  good until my currency of practice would lapse in the next 5 years. So I was given that much time to become a Registered Nurse otherwise I have to provide new evidence of recent practice to be eligible to take the CRNE. (my last practice was in 2010 before coming to Canada)

I hope you have the same timeline too. Goodluck!!

Hi all- I filed under Category 1 as a registered nurse. My Credit Card was charged by Sydney and now it goes to an officer. I just realized I failed to submit a copy of my state license with the application. The Visa Specific form asked for copies of certifications and not specifically licenses. I passed the CNO exam and submitted the letter that shows I passed the exam. I also submitted a letter from my employer stating that I worked as a registered nurse. Will they deny my application for failure to send a copy of my state license? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
As far as i know BET is common in CNRBC, so if u have applied any job in cnrbc u have to give BET and SEc,
Secondly have you given CRNE exam for ontario, then you can apply for job in Ontario(CRNE is common), but u cannot transfer your lisence for some period (18 months on the same region)
Please check the board you have given your exam, CRNBC will only allow international nurse to write CRNE after they have given SEC

Anyone here applying/who applied for CRNBC? I'm so freakn confused between CNO and CRNBC. I have a relative in Victoria, BC but they said it's difficult to find a job there but the province is so beautiful. However, I saw some posts in the net and I think, once one becomes an RN in Canada, d na mahirap maghanap ng work. Am I right? Hehe. Pa share naman po ng experience nyo with the application. Do you think I will be required to take the SEC? I have almost 6 years tertiary hospital experience (2 years in KSA), 4 years in BS Biology, 2 years sa Nursing. no Masters. Salamat po  Grin

Hey Olga...

Are you sure about the fact that the assessment is good for 1 year only? Or is it just a guess / rumour?

If it's for the CNO eligibility it is normally valid based on the recency of your practice which is good for 5 years as mentioned by the other poster above.

Hi seniors,

I wanted to know for CNO application how may years of experience we need to show.  Like I have 18 years experience.  Do I have to go to all the old places where I worked from the start of my career with the forms to be filled and ask them to send it directly?  Or can I go to the places of only the last  5 years and ask them to submit my job particulars and other details?

Also I am planning to pay the RN fees of 678 CAN$ by DD.  On whose name the DD has to be taken ad should it be payable at Toronto or Ontario?

Please help me out on this issues.  Thank you.

Hey guys,

I have applied for CNO in May and I am still waiting for the initial assessment. iI know that i have already asked but i need to clarify regarding the limitation /duration time of eligibility to take the exam. Is it 1 year from the time of the assessment? I am a little bit worried since I have applied just now for PR.

Other question...somebody may help/share me with the exam material for CRNE? I will highly appreciate it.

Thank you all in advance,

Cim

CNO requires currency of practice in the last 5 years. Have your forms filled as well as job description and send directly to CNO by your employers in the last 5 years. Regarding your payment, it should be payable to CNO and it would be in Toronto.

If you need more clarification, just post it and I'll try to answer as quick as possible.
