hello i wanted to know how do i check if my application which was sent to the cic in halifax canada has been included in this year's cap ...as the courrier by which i sent my documents say that d  office received it on the 20th of dec
and the cap count was announced to be full only after d 20th of december ...i m very anxious as i dont want to wait until july 2011 after all d efforts i put in for the paper work and stuff...please help me if thrs any website i can check on ..

YES YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT ANY IELTS RESULT FOR THE ASSESSMENT ITSELF.
YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE IT LATER ALONG WITH THE OTHER REQUIRMENTS FOR CRNE.
you can easly request for an application package here 
for the assemsnet you need to fill up and send:
Payment information form ($678.00 (HST included) - International Graduates applying as a Registered Nurse (RN)).
Application for Certificate of Registration in the General Class.
Authorization to Release Information
and include a copy of your Nursing Degree.

your nursing school has to send:
Verification of Course Completion form and a copy of your school Transcript .
then you will get the assessment results in 12 weeks.

hi there!!can i also ask you some questions? bad move for me..i finished my ielts first before sending my application package for cno..my ielts score is 6.5 in writing,6 in reading,8 in listening and 7 in speaking..i dont know if cno can accept my score..also..i happened to send my cno application just last dec.2..How would i know about the progress of my applications and how would i assume that they already received my package..I havent received any email from them yet..im quite worried and bothered about the result of my education compared to ontario's standard..but ive been working for more than 3 years now..so i hope my experience and education would qualitfy me for their registration.. as i cant afford to pay tuition and study again.. i also have my auntie and uncle to help me for my employer..can this help my registration to progress?thank you..

what is the total number of months for the complete registraion in CNO?..thank you..

fortunately you can apply to cno even before your visa gets approved. in my case i started with my registration last august as advised by some seniors in the forum, it was a gamble on my part actually coz i still didn't have my mr at that time. good luck

hi, my apologies...you can apply to cno even without the ielts as they requires it before they give the registration...i mixed up it with british columbia as i have applied to both.

because i studied and work here in the philippines for more than 3 yrs now..so my worry is
the standard or system of ontario's education..i already sent my 678 dollars to cno and i am quite bothered
about it because it was a big gamble on my part to risk such a big amount of money.
anyways..do u know the estimated number of months to complete the registration in ontario..
i already sent my 1st application including the schools verifcation,authorization etx..how many
months should i wait for the next package like employers,license verifaction etc..?
when is the ielts needed? can i just take the ielts there in canada?what part should i able to
get my interim permit? im slightly ignorant about the process as my uncle referred me to an agency there in canada..and they just told me to wait for the assessment in ontario..im just really curious to know about
the whole process so that i could prepare myself in advance..thank you..

To inquir about your application process and wether your documents meet their requirments do write them by email, you may use this address as I did, they respond usually after one week, add your basic information like country and date of graduation to verify your request.

I applied with CNO,I submited mine on October15, they told to wait for 12 weeks and they have received my document for primary assessment.

and provide following information with update request.

You most likely won't be able to inquire about the status of your FSW application. You just have to wait for the reply of the "CIC" whether your application reached them in time to be included in the 1000 cap or not for this year. If not, they are going to send you back your documents. How soon will you get an update or your documents back from the CIC?  That question remains unanswered.

hi, my application was received on the 22nd  of December i think you made it because they had an update saying that the CAP has been reached on the 23rd( 22nd about 5pm on Canada). also very anxious let's just pray and hope for the best.
we can email the CIO after 1.5 months (CIC website) and we can also check for the bankdraft after the same time...
