Rambler and Virka -- so sorry. when im answering to my fellow filipino i get confused.. i thought im in the filipino thread, my apology anyway, I applied in Nova scotia because there, my ielts is valid for 2 yrs from date of the examination... plus it's cheaper thank most states khai -- no. haha sorry if I get you confused. I applied for saskatchewan last nov 2009 but they are so slow now.. i still dont have eligibility so ive decided to apply in another province. I originally planned on applying in BC, i am like 70-80% sure... but after research, i chose to register in Nova scotia. These are my reasons: 1. In nova scotia, my ielts is still valid (it will expire on Juy 2011), whereas in BC, i will have to take my ielts again because they only honor ielts result of not more than 1 yr.. 2. Assessment fee in Nova scotia is cheaper than in BC (I didn't really want to spend a lot because either way, i am registering for the same position) 3. lesser chance of taking SEC or bridging program 4. I can send my IELTs result by giving my candidate #, no need to forward/send another original copy of my results.. 5. only my employer for the last 6 months will be asked to fill-up the employer form, in BC, you have to send it to all of ur previous employers (hthat's what i understood)

Wow Imbubbles! Now I'm beginning to think again about applying in NS, since my application to CRNM was returned due to insufficient proof of immigration status, hehe,,anyway, why did you say that in NS there is lesser chance of SEC/Bridging Program? u c, the bridging program is really what I'm am avoiding haha I'm not afraid of the SEC what I'm really afraid of is the expenses that I may have to take for this program, all the reasons you mentioned here seem good to me too:D Rambler and Virka -- so sorry. when im answering to my fellow filipino i get confused.. i thought im in the filipino thread, my apology anyway, I applied in Nova scotia because there, my ielts is valid for 2 yrs from date of the examination... plus it's cheaper thank most states khai -- no. haha sorry if I get you confused. u r correct friend.. but accdg to the ciip, bridging program is not a thing to be afraid of because there are immigrsnt serving org in canada who may shoulder the expenses if yuo'll only tap them...but that is a loan, so you'll have to pay it sometime...at least u can cross the bridge, right? but, for me, still i don't like it aside from expenses, because it consumes our time and effort...so if there's a way that we can do avoid that then grab..but if there's none then we have to face it...

Really friend,,My gosh!!!I don't know what to do anymore,,haha, if that's the case then i still can consider my application to Alberta since all I have to do there is to schedule my self for SEC and sit for this test,, but you're right, aside from the expenses is the time that could be wasted,,,i'm so confused u r correct friend.. but accdg to the ciip, bridging program is not a thing to be afraid of because there are immigrsnt serving org in canada who may shoulder the expenses if yuo'll only tap them...but that is a loan, so you'll have to pay it sometime...at least u can cross the bridge, right? but, for me, still i don't like it aside from expenses, because it consumes our time and effort...so if there's a way that we can do avoid that then grab..but if there's none then we have to face it...

asitoja, friend, just in case u may consider reading this links... www.manitobanurses.ca and www.gov.mb.ca/health/nurses ...these are nice info about nursing in manitoba...their assessment fee is, 105 canadian dollars and if you are considering nova scotia...take note... Assessment fee of $138.00 (Canadian funds, includes HST). Effective November 1st, 2010 the fee will be $460.00 (Canadian funds, includes HST). The assessment fee is not refundable. Payment can be made by international money order or online by credit card. We do not accept international demand drafts or cheques.
