Have 3 yrs diploma in IT after Grade 10th.
Pls suggest how many points CIC would award?

dear its 12 points check carefully first option..thay said obtained one year diploma ,trade certificate or apprenticeship.....now stop here..and think ...after that from here you have only 10 year full time study as 10th class..and after that you have 3 year diploma..so your full time study 13 year...becuase they will not consider your diploma after 10th class...it has to be after 12th class then you will get 15 points.

dont CIC consider number of years like it has 13 years of education.(grade 10+3 Yr diploma)? (13 years)
To get 15 points, one must have grade 12th and 1 yr diploma after grade 12th? (13 years)
pls...

Dear jasbir,
Obtained a one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies... 15 points. for this you need to be have 14 years study... mean 13 year full time and one year any diploma..13+1= 14..they mention on there website so for me its vey much clear what CIC looking for.
but you have right now 10+3= 13....so according to me you will get 12 points brother..but let see what other thinks....and don;t lose your hope.might be there are many ways...to get more points..so believe on your self and keep it up.

Dear Star.. look at following CIC line:
Obtained a three-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship (other than university) and completed at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies = 22 Points
Does it mean, one must have 15 year of full-time study + 3yr diploma = 18 Years to get 22 points?
As your explanation says: One needs 14 yrs of study to fit in this clause :Obtained a one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship and completed at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies... 15 points.
Lets look into this.
