Here is my situation. I hired a representative to assist me with the whole process thought they could do a better job than myself. It was a big mistake.

28 Sep2011- Submitted CEC PR application
06 Nov2011- Received confirmation and medical exam request
13 Nov2011- Done my medical exam, however ... 2 days later,
15 Nov2011- Received refusal email because the employment letter wasn't clear enough ( they didn't bother to ask for another one )
.... after consulting with others, I decided to take a different approach due to my expiring work visa
13 Jan2012- Applied for BC PNP - Strategic Occupations
14 Feb2012- Received nomination
20 Mar 2012- Extended my work visa
13 Apr2012- Submitted PNP PR application
22 May2012- CIC requested missing document ( they emailed my representative, no PR # )
26 May2012- Sent out missing document

I still haven't heard back from CIC yet, no emails at all after the missing doc request. My representative said I should be hearing back from them in the end of June or the first week of July. It has been over 6 weeks already, should I contact them? I am starting to get anxious. Also, will they skip the medical exam request step? I have done my medical exam last Nov ( it is still within one year ), I believe I do not need to do it again.

Let's share, if you have similar experience, thank you!
