We did the Medicals today, family of 4. My Little one, whom I just had has not yet received his medical form from CIC but he was examined as well and we all did it successfully. The DMP instructed that as soon as we get his form we should forward it to him and he will send all our medicals to CIC London.
All in one, it took an hour for the medical check and about 15 mins for the x-ray. so it was good. Next thing now is to wait for a positive outcome. wish me luck and good luck to you all intending to do yours.

guys...you might be interested in reading below post from CIC....

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Medical exam requirements for permanent residents
You must pass a medical examination before coming to Canada. Your dependants must also pass a medical examination even if they are not coming with you.

Applications for permanent residence will not be accepted if that person's health:

is a danger to public health or safety; or
would cause excessive demand on health or social services in Canada.
Medical Examination Instructions
Instructions on how to take the medical examination will normally be sent to you after you submit your application to the visa office.

Validity
You can only use your examination results in your application for 12 months from when you had the examination. If you are not admitted to Canada as a permanent resident within this time, you will be required to undergo another examination.

Authorized Doctors
Your own doctor cannot do the medical examination. You must see a physician on Canada's list of Designated Medical Practitioners.

Medical Report Procedures
Medical reports and x-rays for the medical examination become the property of the Canadian Immigration Medical Authorities and cannot be returned to you.

The doctor will not tell you the results of the medical examination. The doctor will let you know if you have a health-related problem.

The designated medical practitioner does not make the final decision. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will make the final decision on whether or not you have passed your medical examination for immigration purposes.

The visa office will tell you in writing if there is a problem with your medical examination.

hi yenz...did you get the Airway bill number from your DMP to have tracking? Until now my DMP just told me that they already sent it yesterday and I am checking with them the AWB to track if my medicals were already received by London CHC.....

Do you have any idea how many months they will be sending out the PPR?

Thanks

Based on Yenz time line, If I may....

time between 1st AOR and submission of full docs- 2 months and 15 days
time between submission of full docs to medical request- 2 months and 3 days

This trend seems consistent.... For those who are waiting for medicals, can you guess now when you can receive medicals after submitting full docs to London Office?

CPA2CANADA-yes we received our airway bill number ,DMP advise- track it after 3-4 days.About the PPR,not sure how many months it takes for them to send it..base on the trend,i guessed it's  on a case to case basis.Hope and pray it won't take long. We are actually going to prepare for the interview ,in case they require it.Good Luck to all of us:)

Checked the AWB and London CHC received my medicals today. If they will call us for interview, it would be in London.....I wonder if other applicants here have an idea how to prepare for the interview....hmmm going to London specifically for that....too costly I believe.....

Let's continue to pray the the Interview portion will be waived........

The interview will be waived..I have not seen anyone called in for interview in this new scheme...unless maybe there is a special circumstance. Good luck.

Dear Folks

As I told you before that I submitted a specific enquiry form to London office, today I received the reply as follows:

Routine Background Checks

So basically they are doing BC since three months if we presumed they make it from the date they started processing, although they did not even make any employment verification by contacting my direct manager who sighned my contract and my reference letter.

Folks here in this forum your comments and experience about my situation are much appreciated.

I attached here in the following my request to the London office:

"Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing here to check that I did not miss any corresponence from you (regarding medical request or calling for interview) due to the "postal strikes" here in UK. My full application has been sent on the 11th May 2009, AOR received on the 22th May 2009, and according to the e-cas it has been started processing on the 7th July 2009. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely,
Zaid"

Zaid,

This is your time line right?

CIU AOR 14 Jan 2009

Full application received by CIC-London 12th May 2009
AOR received 21th May 2009
Ecas showed started processing 6th June 2009
Still waiting for medical request.

I took your timeline from page 1 of this thread. My observation has always been consistent with almost every London applicant. The quicker you send the full documents from the date you received the first AOR the faster you will receive the medical request. In your case it took you almost 4 months before you submitted the full application. So, I think this is one of the reasons that can explain why until now you have not received the medical. Just like mine, it took me more than three months to submit the full documents and until now I am still waiting for medicals.

CPA2CANADA and the rest of London applicants who applied later than we do  received medical request ahead of us because in less than 2 months they were able to submit the full application to London.

BTW, in how many days you got the reply from CIC after sending them the e mail? Thanks.
