Guys, I have some thoughts on why some applicants receive medical request quicker than others. This assumption are for those who submitted full application to London visa office and upon review by the IO it was found to be complete and no further documents are required.

The quicker you submit full application to local visa office from the date of your 120 days letter, the sooner you will receive your medical request. My concrete example for this is mine and CPA2CANADA's application. I applied ahead of him, I received the 120 days letter ahead of him, I submitted my full documents to London ahead of him on June 22, 2009, that's 110 days after the 120 days letter date, while he submitted his on July 30, 2009 only 60 days after his 120 day letter. Until now, I don't have my medicals, while CPA2 CANADA got his on Sept 16, 2009. And if this analysis is correct, I will be expecting my medicals sometime 110 days after I submitted my full documents. I deserve this because I responded 110 days after CIC's request to submit full application.

The above assumption applies to applications whose documents are complete, straightforward, authentic, and have accurately followed application guidelines. I believe my documents like CPA2CANADA's are complete, straightforward, authentic, and have accurately followed CIC's application instructions. In addition, this assumption is for 2009 applicants only. 2008 applications under the new rules have other pattern, incomprehensible, very difficult to understand the reason for its delays.

At least this gives a fair analysis as to why some applications are processed faster than others. I should say fair because you have complied with their request faster than others.
In my opinion it is unfair to say like others speculated that some NOC's are given priority over the other NOC's. It is being judgmental to say that it depends on the working attitude of the IO. They might commit mistakes as human as they are like us, but I still believe IO's treat each and every application fairly and with a common standard.

I appeal to those who have received medical and those who are waiting for the medical request to share your thoughts and timeline on this. Let us confirm if this observation is logical. Because if this is correct, this will give the needed peace of mind to those people who are now worried about the status of their applications because they have not received the medical request as per the date of their expectation ....and I am one of them.

Dear Aspire,
Whilst you are making an assumption. I believe it has to do with other key points, which i learned from experience on this forum such as;
1- Your Nationality (Developed, Semi Developed, Favorites or Third World)
2- Education (if attained from gazetted country or third world country)
3- Ease of Security Checks (From Pakistan/Sudan compare to Malaysia/Philippine)

Definitely what you pointed out fairly increase the chances of how quick you may receive the Medicals, but consider the aforementioned as well.

Biblio,

Yah, somehow you made a good point. I will totally agree with you on points 2 and 3. So, which countries do you think are considered the favorites? I just hope my country is one.

zaidkhalid,

I will eagerly wait for your post regarding the reply that you will receive from London. Did you send it thru case specific inquiry? Dont you think sending them e mail might cause further delay to the process?

pammi,

Yes, I agree with you, If God wills it, nobody can stop it, if He will not allow it to happen no effort on our part can make it to happen. But I will not call it as "luck". I will call it "God's Will"

God Bless all of you...

CPA2CANADA- regarding your question about the reply label, I guessed it is the address given on the upper left corner of the letter wherein you will submit all the updated documents requested.
