hey i applied in fed got notified in march , 2007 . sent all documents somewhere 2009 or 2008 and that was it noting yet , but have faith that something would happen soon. this is in trinidad & tobago

did you order caips? what were your initial assesment? mine, said ...

Age 10, all the rest 0 and then Total 67 points

well i am a heavy duty mechanic , i think i made 69 feb 2011 is good but after we do the medical how long would it take for everything to finalize?

If there is only 10 points for age and rest are 0 and final are 67 then your have been waived for the interview.

I am also July 2007 London applicant, sent update in December 2009 and waiting for the medicals. During October 2010 they requested 'Immigrant Summary & Supplementary Information Form' and nothing afterwards. Now I just got the reply that CHC London awaiting the results of routine background enquiries.

With the reference of your interview waiver, I would suggest you to consult 'Evaluation of Federal Skilled Worker Programme' in details. You can find it from Audit & Evaluation tab at CIC official webite.

Did CHC London request you to submit Immigrant Summary & Supplementary Information Form? CHC London asks this additional form by the recommendation of London based CIC Security Liasion Officer. The Security Liasion Officer requests self employed, Investors and high to medium profile FSW applicants to submit above form.

What is your latest status and processing times?

I hope we will get our medicals any time now or during Feb/Mar 2011. Please also note that we might get medicals & ppr altogether because our background checks have been done before medicals or we will get our ppr after a month of medicals.

I also assume from the current pattern that CHC London will spend first half of 2011 on pre-February 2008 applications and the last half on post-February 2008 application as they did in the year of 2010. Moreover; the CHC London will be finalising applications of those who got update request during 2009 or early 2010 -Ottawa Applicants during the year of 2011. The SAP CHC London aplicants from November 2007 to February 2008 might get update request from March 2011 onwards and will be finalised during first half of 2012.

The clear cut current target of CIC is to reduce 50% of backglog applications by 2013 -means start of 2013. You can obtain this information in deatils by consulting CIC 2011 Immigration paln in News Releases section of Media Centre tab at CIC official website. .

what is CAIPS ? what does that mean and what deos it have to do with my application

"CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'. It is the computer system used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process visa applications, and holds all the information on the current status of every immigration application being processed by overseas offices (i.e. those outside of Canada). "

ordering caips gives you an insight into your case, it takes 30-45 working days to obtain it

there are several websites from where you could order your caipsnotes from, i ve been using caipsnotes.com
they charge $ 35 and it takes them 30-45 working days to get the file,

Hi All

I am from KSA. Applied in Aug'2007 through CHC London. Docs requested Aug'2009. updated docs sent in Dec'2009.IELTS sent in Feb'2010. complete File reviewed in June'2010. No further docs were requested. right now routine background checks in process started from, I believe, July-Aug'2010 and till today no further replies from CHC London. but I beleive it is good that checks are done before medicals+PR fees. No supplemantary forms requested so far.

I applied in September 2007 from Jamaica. I have submitted updated application forms as well as my documents in April 2009. Since then i have not heard anything.

 I request you guys to write a case-specific query/email to your respective Visa offices ( keeping in mind your timeline ) . Write a specific and to the point  email in a professional manner without asking unnecessary questions.

 Lot of us followed this option and got reply and our cases started rolling as well.
