This is a new thread prepared especially for all 2006 Damascus Applicants, please note the following facts:
1- Many Late 2005 Damascus Applicants are being requested to update their documents, this started around June 2009 (Maybe before).
2- Many Applications up until December 2005 have been tranferred to WARSAW office for faster processing.
3- This means that Damascus CHC are working to finalize 2004, 2005 cases.
With this trend, 2006 Damascus Applicants might hear from CHC around Feb/March 2010 (Update Letter).

Do you think we will hear from them soon us 2006 applicants (damascus).

Hi there, I am also 2006 DA. No news till now! you know that there is a list of jobs for new applicants under skilled workers. Are we included this list , I mean , do they assess us according this list or we are not included of this process and they will assess us based on our experience and job|???

i applied in jan2007,FSW through syria ,and all i got is the withdrawl letter which i didnt reply back on it.that was sep2009 .i dont know for how more long to start the actual processing and how long it'll take from that time.

hi Marjan, no, we are not included in the list process, we fall in the old system which is only based on points, rather than the new system which is based on points+list fo jobs.
Yafa, some late 2005 applicants are now getting either letter of update or medical, which are 2 different steps seperated by 4 to 5 months.
2006 applicants should hear from CIC soon, maybe within 3 to 4 month (Update Letter), Don't know if 2007 applicants will also hear in the same period.
