Hi Friends,
My application is  in process since March 2005. I had applied for permanent immigration along with my family (Wife). Now during this time period following changes have been taken place:
1. We blessed with twins in Dec 2006.
2. My wife got Punjab Govt. Job, now she is working as a Science Mistress since Dec. 2006.
3. I have changed my Job/Company.
As many members are advising that 2005 batch shall pull over their socks and shall be ready with all the documents, how shall I proceed further and which documents shall I start updating?

You need to advise them that you have some children now so they can add them to your application.  Otherwise just update whatever documents they ask you for.

Dear All,
I was out of touch from this forum due to some reason. After my last post, i got UL in Dec 2008, Doc. sent in Feb 2009 and now waiting for further communication from CHC.
I guess, most of the 2005 applicants would receive ULs in coming months.
Best of luck..

For  us  (old applicants , old guys , unfair  cases , unwanted  applicant )  we all have received  UL  letters ,
If not all 50%  . And we did  our best  to update  all these documents  spending  hundreds  dollars  translating  ...and sending   ... but I try to find out an  answer   if there  is  any hope or any trust on CHC  when new applicants  get there visa within  6  months ,   and the others  since 2005 like me are still waiting .      pending .....and....  pending  years   until another  updated   letters  after   years   .
These things may happen in developing  countries where I am .  but  somewhere  like Canada ....  I am totally    surprised  !!!!!!!,  how  they   manage  like that  Huh
Unfortunately  our  opinion  is for us only   to calm down  each other  because no one from CHC have a access to this forum   . to have some idea .    at least     to bring our applications from the basement  and  begin to process  fairly    . that's  we merit  guys
Good Luck for all

Dear Unfo,
You are absolutly right. I am too surprised the way CHC is working. They should have cleared the backlog and then start processing under new process. Even people under old process like us, are withdrawing and then again applying under Simplified process and getting visas within a year.

But one thing i want to tell you all is that the major portion of waiting time is already gone for us, now it is just a matter of 1 - 2 years more. So when we already waited for 4-5 years then lets wait for next year or two more years. Even though it is a tough time for all who are waiting since long.... but hopefully after the Dec holidays, new year would bring new hopes for all 2005 applicants.

Hi all, I am not sure if this helps. I applied in late 2003 and early 2004, I was asked to do my medicals and pay the RPRF fee, now they have  requested my passport for stamping.
My mate had applied in late 2004 and he has just heard back from them a  few months ago and started the process re-submitting the documents and getting medicals and stuff. We both had applied at New Delhi. I think they will be contacting people who applied in early 2005 shortly.

Dear,
UL means Updation Letter. CHC is sending WL (Withdrawal letter) and/or UL to 2005 applicants. In WL, they are asking if somebody wants to change his plan to immigration, he can request for refund, other wise chc would consider that still the applicant is interested to migrate.
In UL they request to update the latest documents like, experience, any changes (Marriage, child birth, address change etc), along with statements of funds.
Hope it would clarify your query.

Hi friends,
19 days already gone of year 2010 but CHC is still in hibernation. No ULs, No Medicals and no PPR etc... No communication with 2005 applicant yet.
But i am hopeful... this year ...2010 would definitely is going to be a good year for 2005 applicants...
