I am from the philippines and my filing date is january 2005. I received a letter requesting for update in june of 2009. In dec.2009, we got a request for medical exam but we received the letter late january by ordinary post office mail. We were able to complete our medical in feb of 2010. In March, I got another letter requesting for another xray and then by april, another letter came for another chest xray or ct scan. Now, I am waiting for the result. I think they are suspecting TB infection but i have no symptoms. Better prepare yourself with your old chest xrays as the medical can delay the processing of your visa if they suspect you have lung problems. God bless.

Wow! that was fast. I filed Dec 2004 and received my acknowledgment march 2005.. however, i am still waiting for the result. I have been to Canada 3x on a tourist visa but that was after I submitted my application. Why is it taking so long? :-( |

I am now back in the Philippines. I did send a note to the embassy asking about the status. All I got was a reply that there is no follow-up unless there is an update in my address, marital status, etc. |
