Hi.   Can someone please guide me on how to do with my 2 year old daughter born in the Phils., whose Citizenship Certification was submitted last June 2011 and still on process...  my baby's father and I just recently got married and may submit the complete application by January.

   *  I will be sponsored by my husband under spousal.  My 2 year old daughter who is a Canadian by descent is my dependent on the application, will she still need to take a medical exam even if her Canadian Citizenship Certification in on process?  if so, we will also pay her dependent fee?
   *  With regards to her passport,  will we be applying  it at the Embassy Manila or to the local Department of Foreign Affairs?

I hope somebody can help me with my inquiries,  my husband and I just visited Embassy Manila and surprisingly they no longer entertain public hours queries.  It just sucks that we have to travel 7 hours back and forth for nothing.  They only entertain email queries now Sad which I believe as I tried before you can get a response from them after a week...  they really make things more difficult now.

Thank you... and God Bless!

Since your daughter is Canadian she doesn't need the medical, you don't need to pay the dependent fee also for her.  Although she is your dependent she is Canadian and won't need to be examined or included in the spousal sponsorship application.  You just have to wait for her Citizenship certificate to be issued, once you have that in hand you or your spouse can apply for a Canadian passport for her at the Canadian Embassy in Manila or Cebu.
