Hello everyone.

Can anyone tell me if there are any other Post-Graduate certificates that last 2 years in Ontario other than Humber's Global Business Management?

As many of you, I'm considering going to Canada to study and then apply for a PR. I would not like to get a 2 year diploma. Since I already have a Bachelors degree I thought about applying for a Post-Graduate course. I've only seen 1 year courses and I recently found about Humber's 2 year certificate which is the only one I've come across so far.

Does anybody know of another course in the Business Management area that is a post-grad and not only is 2 years long but also costs around 25k?

I also have another question...
If I take TWO 1 year Post-Graduate Certificates one after the other, would I be able to get 2 years of work permit? I mean, would these years add up? Having two postgraduate certificates could count as two years of work permit than could I apply under the Canadian Experience Class?

I hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks a lot!

I'm sorry. I didn't get what you just said...

I didn't get accepted anywhere and I don't know what you mean by ty.bcom.

Hi,

1. Yes, you will be eligible for 2 year PGWP.
2. One year (or 1 + 1) PG certificate/Diploma are NOT eligible for CEC. As an international graduate, you need ONLY 1 year of work experience to apply under CEC.

Thanks you, Enfield.

So lets say I apply for two different certificates and I end up studying for 2 years, full-time. If I work for those two years after my studies would I then be able to apply under CEC?

Hi,

1. No.
2. It must be either; a straight 2 year UG/PG Degree/Diploma/Certificate OR 1 year Master DEGREE + 1 year of UG/PG Degree/Diploma/Certificate.

As far as I know, you do not find too many 2-year postgraduate diploma/certificates in Canada. Either you opt for one year PgD/PGC or a Masters program. For PgD/PGC, you may not find too many options outside Ontario either.

If you are looking for September intake, for Masters, most of the university deadline are around March/April. So make sure you start visiting university websites and start preparing to send them documents.
