I am in Canada on a 2 year permit, i have been here since March and still have the LMO with my name on it valid for 2 years.

I have just been laid off due to season end for the company i worked for, but still have my work permit.

I have 2 new companies that wants to hire me ASAP. 1 filed the paperwork 6 weeks ago, for 6 foreign workers in same category as me.

The other company went through the same and sponsored another employee just recently , but he quit.

So here I am with my work permit and LMO for Manitoba, and new company has a recent LMO in the other guys name.

Does the employer still need to go through the same process all over again?

I moved here and got settled.. Now I am without a job with job offers.. But my work permit states I am only allowed to work for my previous employer. And now it seems that i have to wait another 6-8 weeks to be allowed to work again.
Not to complain, but as everybody i have bills and rent to pay..

I just find it really difficult so see a system be so hard?

Any help appreciated..
