Hi, I am currently working as a shift manager at mcdonalds and merchandiser at futureshop, just wondering if when i apply for my cec, is it a problem? i am just using my 1950 hours from mcdonalds to apply for cec and not counting futureshop but just wondering if it will be a problem.
Also i am getting payed $11 an hour as an assistant manager which is close to minimum, do you guys think thats a problem as well?

Thanks

hey,
what's ur NOC code??? and ur level??? u need to be at level A, O or B to qualify for cec.  having 2 jobs is not a problem if ur at the right code.. u will need reference letters from both employer..

hi vesta, i'm working as a manager at quiznos and im having trouble deciding which NOC code i should go with for my application; 6212 or 0631. both are very similiar except 0631 has a higher wage. how did you decide your NOC code for your job?  congrats on your PR!

Hey... I tried to play safe because 0631 has a very high wage... So i did it with 6212 as a shift Manager in fast food with $11/ hour... I tried to play safe and not get rejected from CIC...Also,  try to make the duties and responsibilities similar to NOC 6212 if u happen to choose that NOC code...

Hope that helps....

Thanks! Oh, i guess they changed the NOC code from 6212 to 6311 now. It's the same job title but with a different NOC code. Updated 2012/2/1

hi
my bf is doing a job at some pizza store. there he is paying $12 and 40 hrs a week. he has done diploma in business management and marketing (2 years). but the thing is he took 2 semester off together. I want to know following things:
1. is this semester off going to effect his case?
2. does his job falls under NOC 6311(as the job duties are same he is doing).
3. do he need to hire some lawyer for his case?
please help.

1. Taking 2 semesters off may not be a problem, but if he continued to work using his off-campus work permit during that time he could be in trouble.

2. Without his a job title, duties and responsibilities, one can not determine the NOC.

3. I would recommend it especially as his case isn't so straight forward.

is he working as a "manager" or "supervisor" for this store ? b.c he can only apply for PR if his job title fits the ones listed for NOC6311.
