Have any of you post-July-1st-2011 guys had your drafts cashed/cards charged yet?

Wayne.

Hi Wayne,

No one has reported drafts cashed/cards charged yet on the forum. I want to ask you , as the applications received page still shows as of 1st july 2011, can we safely conclude our application has landed within the cap. As last year they made first update regarding this when 1122 was nearing 1000. I hope, later they don't come up  with something like this "1122 had reached cap on **/**". That will be so annoying.

Thanx.

Hey RKC!! Lets wait for the reply of Wayne

But my personal observation is that, although many applications have recieved by them, but they will not update the number unless they feel and check the applications for completeness. (check it on CIC website. There they used the word number of complete application received)

And the word "complete application" in terms of CIC is that --- the application had nothing missing, no blank in the form and the documents are there for the evaluation and fees is correct.

Once they check the applications and forms for completness ; they will charge the fees and update the numbers on the page.

None of the applicant so far is charged by cc or bd. This means CIC people are in the process of checking the applications for their completeness!!

Please note that completeness does not mean that u qualify for AOR. Once the "complete application" is evaluated on the basis of point scoring and verification is done, then u will be issued AOR

Thanx Khan for the reply,

I agree they are still checking applications for completeness ,does this imply that count of complete applications is still below 500? The only sure way to find out if we are in is cashing of draft or CC being charged.

Good things for many is that incomplete applications will not come underr the CAP  and will be returned, thus giving room to others!!!!

Bad thing is that to some extent there will be human element (merit element) involved in checking the completeness of application!! it would be on their discretion if they consider one's application complete or incomplete!!

Due to burden of application on 1122---- My personal guess is that ----- Even if a person looks eligible by books/by rule, but still if they find someone working in very very small company or very very small city, with less responsibile job duties or if they find someone's application weak due to any reason, they could make a excuse that something was missing like a blank in the form or inappropriate birth certificate or bla bla bla. You know there could be 100s of excuses if they want to return someone's application by claiming it incomplete!!

So i guess besides meeting the criteria, there would be some merit selection as well.

I believe its just llike the job interview for e.g if there are 100 contestents for job interview and the company need only 1, offcourse they will try to select the top one!!! Although nothing is mentioned on their website about this issue!! But my personal opiniion is that this will go like this!! Becoz the supply is more and demand is less!!!

jfalvitez: As far as I've read, they will check the completeness of the application, if so; the credit card will be charged in about 15 days... later the AOR is to be issued after of 50-70 business days.

In sum, all we have to do is sit and wait with fingers crossed!!!

I sent my application package last July 2.  Received in NS on July 8.  Now the excruciating wait begins.

If you were like me who tracked my Fedex package every hour since dispatch, you would have already lost your head by now. hahahaha  Mine went to Guangzhou, then Shanghai, then Anchorage, then Memphis, then Mirabel, to Calgary, then Mississauga, then back to Mirabel for some reason, then to Deppe, then Goffs, and finally to Sydney where it slept overnight before finally being delivered one day past the committed delivery date.

Whew.

Raoo!! Why are u applying so late!! if ur IELTS is done . u must apply.... mid of august would be too late

I thing CAP would reach maximum by 7-10th august. Thats my guess!!

They still have not updated on their website about the number of completed applications received. I think they are checking the applications for the completeness!!!

But rao! try as soon as possible becoz delivery time by FEDEX or DHL is about 5 days
