For the benefit of the 1122 applicants who are awaiting the kit back, I got mine back on the 8th of Nov, my app was receied by the CIO on the 20th of July. I'm based in India. They had sent it back on the 30th of Aug as per the email I got from them which means its taking 2 + months...

   MY FRIEND DID U GET THE CONFIRMATION OF GETTING BACK UR KIT ON EMAIL BY THEM OR U MAILED THEM ABOUT YOUR FILE STATUS  AND DID U GET UR (DDs) BACK OR THEY R ENCASHED  TELL ME PLZ

I received my complete kit back by post.. The whole stuff that I'd sent to CIO is lying at my home now.. Hope this makes it crystal clear  Cheesy... Those who have sent the app after 8th of July .. Please have no hope and start working on alternative..

Could u please confirm  have u sent any e-mail to CIC about ur file status... before 30 Aug 2011. as it is very important in the immgration process.awaiting for ur replay... Smiley

why you are asking this question ? Yes he send e-mail to cic for inquiring about his file status and get cap reached mail from CIC after 10 to 15 days.

That's really sad. I just wanted to check with you if you'd received any kind of intimation from the CIO earlier. Did they send across an email or letter or anything of that sort? If yes, was it after you emailed them asking about the status of your application???

Yes, I did receive an email from them stating that they had sent my kit back on the 30th of August after I inquired about that via email.

Oh Ok! So basically you got an email from CIO after you sent an inquiry. I wanted to know if they're proactively sending out any emails before mailing out your entire kit to you, back.

Guys when the VO request for additional documents and when he send it.

Does the ECAS gets updated? Is their any method to verify was the documents received?
