Hi guys!

Found this following piece of information on a site online.
It states changes to immigration policies for Canada as of 28th June and 24th June 2011.

We already know most of the things stated there. Just thought it was worthwhile sharing it.

Few excerpts from the article:

"Please note that the previous list has remained unchanged, but the cap per occupation is now 500 as opposed to the previous cap of 1000 applications.  Please also note that being “placed into processing” doesn't mean being actually approved; the FSW applicants who can prove experience in one of the above occupations must still meet the selection criteria, reach the 67 points pass mark and show settlement funds tantamount to the CIC requirements."

"Let us finish with a brief warning: according to CIC sources, 80% of the applications returned by CIO Sydney over the last 12 months have not been received after the cap was reached, but were incomplete due to elementary mistakes blamed on applicants' negligence, but also on their lack of information or understanding of the rules.  Professional assistance is the only solid guarantee of a complete and well prepared application."

No, standart certified cheque, issued on the name of Receiver General for Canada as a recepient. It seemed like let's say a banknote withe the name of receiver and my name on it, also the amount of money. It had a water sign and a hologram

Can someone update me with latest development ...I mean CC/BD charged as per the date of the application received at CIC.

My application was recieved on 5th Aug.

Is there any chance of falling within the CAP??

Hi there - my application is similar to yours on delivery date , mine was selivered on 3rd August and payment was via BD which i have been checking in with my bank for each week and it has not yet been encashed but my cosultant did say the longer you wait the better it can be as they processing things etc.

Also from the feedback on this site i would say that you should remain confident about being within the cap for now, we have no news otherwise and there doesn't seem to be a true correlation between pack delivery times and payments being taken - some may argue differently but from what i have read and if i had to make a formal report the conclusions would be left open Sorry i can't be of more help but this is all rather open at the moment.....

Thanks for the valuable information ...Atleast there is ray of Hope But I have experienced that one should not believe the consultants They tell only lies and that too every time ...But one thuing is appreciable ie they convey lies  with full confidence.

Stay hopeful my friends. I am saying this because they way discussion is going in this forum. So unless you get something concrete from them dont lose hope. If you have to wait then do it happily otherwise frustration will eat your brain out.
