It look like we made it just in the nick of time. There are a couple more possible roadblocks ahead. I hope we make it through. I am ready to leave anytime.
Beating the cap is just the start of this journey. The first roadblock & the most important is the PER. I hope too that we make it through up to the end, I really feel sad for ones who didn't make it after all the hard work they put in on their applications. I wish if only CIC had been more prompt in updating the 'Total complete...' page on their website, it would have caused less heart burning.

RKC - i suggest you read my last post my friend, page 114. All these claims from lots of people thinking they know when the cap ended in the nicest and simplest terms are - unfounded and untrue, only limited detail is out there for us to assume against. What about the guy under NOC1122 who was charged from an app received much later than the 8th ..... Or do we all just ignore that because it suits? I really belive this whole thread could be compressed into 5 pages but there you go, one more circle

I've received three reply mails from CIO since last year when we first applied.
1)In Nov'2010: Applied on 31 Aug 2010 when we didn't include our birth certs. & our application was incomplete.
Good Morning. Our records indicate your submission was returned on 01 Sept 2010 as it was incomplete. A letter of explanation is included. We do not keep detailed records of each application returned so I am unable to supply case specific details. Thank you for your interest in Canada D.A.
2) In Mar'2010: Reapplied again on 20th Jan 2010.When we thought it was unfair to us we sent our package again in Jan with an explanation letter as they had started to accept other supporting docs in lieu of Birth Certs. for NDVO from Sep 2010 onwards.
Good Morning,
Please be advised that your application was returned with all attachments on 22 Jan 2011 as the cap of NOC 1122 has been reached. Please note: all returned applications are sent via regular mail to the mailing address as entered on the application form.
Thank you for your interest in Canada.
D.A.
3) In Aug 2011: Applied on 8th July . When we asked them for status of our application after 6 weeks
Good morning
Your application has been received by our office, and is currently awaiting review. You will be contacted in due course. A letter will be sent via the e-mail addresses provided on your application.
Thank you
D.A.
Each time, indeed they meant what they said in the reply emails.
In how many days you received the reply from CIC of your last/latest mail? I sent the mail yesterday. In how many days i'll get the reply?

You and your consultant may be right. Even my consultant is also havinf the list of those file whose application was return b'coz of cap reached but he said in that list my name is not there. May be all list of application is after 22 nd aug 2011 thats why. Nobody knows when capping is done but if we see CIC website capping is on 22nd Aug. So I think there is a possibilty that we all are made the cap. Did you mail the NS for your application status if yes than please copy and paste that mail here. So that we all will get the idea. Apologies for putting this negative information first on this forum
"All those applicants who claimed to have received an email from CIC about NOC 1122 CAP getting hit on 08/07/2011 and their applications getting returned because of this reason were "ABSOLUTELY RIGHT".
I hereby confirm the return of my application from CIC, NS. My consultant's branch office in Canada has received a couple of applications back from CIC stating that the CAP was hit. My application was received on 13/07/2011.
Even I require some time to digest this information, but this is a FACT.

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011
On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.
Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.
These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).
Applications received toward the overall cap: 1,698 of 10,000 as of September 6, 2011
Applications received per eligible occupation:
Eligible Occupation (by National Occupational Classification [NOC] code) Number of Complete Applications Received* 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers 112 0811 Primary Production Managers (except Agriculture) 11 1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management (Cap reached)** 1233 Insurance Adjusters and Claims Examiners 16 2121 Biologists and Related Scientists 69 2151 Architects 33 3111 Specialist Physicians 48 3112 General Practitioners and Family Physicians 54 3113 Dentists 77 3131 Pharmacists 123 3142 Physiotherapists 17 3152 Registered Nurses 410 3215 Medical Radiation Technologists 9 3222 Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists 5 3233 Licensed Practical Nurses 22 4151 Psychologists 9 4152 Social Workers 49 6241 Chefs 11 6242 Cooks 31 7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades 16 7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades 23 7241 Electricians (except Industrial and Power System) 14 7242 Industrial Electricians 11 7251 Plumbers 3 7265 Welders and Related Machine Operators 3 7312 Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics 8 7371 Crane Operators 1 7372 Drillers and Blasters – Surface Mining, Quarrying and Construction 1 8222 Supervisors, Oil and Gas Drilling and Service 12 *The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of September 6, 2011 is approximate.
**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.
NOTE: Because application intake fluctuates, these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap.

Hey All,
Can anyone tell me when can we expect our first AOR?? From seniors (some earlier posts ) we can notice that some of them got the AOR in 2 months time.... Can anyone tell me when can we get Client Id and / or AOR from VO? Is this timing depends upon the VO from which you are applying or its same for every applicant?
Can anyone tell me, by what time period we will move ahead? means First step, Second step and so on.....
Regards,
