Guys , this has been quote from the www.gazette.gc.ca the official website for government of Canada, please read in red carefully...

Federal Skilled Worker applications

Cap on the number of applications to be processed per year

A maximum of 10,000 new Federal Skilled Worker applications, without an offer of arranged employment, will be considered for processing each year.

Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 new Federal Skilled Worker applications per National Occupation Classification (NOC) code will be considered for processing each year.

In calculating the caps, applications will be considered in order of the date they are received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard to routine office procedures.

For the unique purpose of calculating the caps, the cap year will begin on July 1, 2011 and end on June 30, 2012, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction. Subsequent years will be calculated from July 1st to June 30th, unless otherwise indicated in a future Ministerial Instruction.

I feel sorry for everyone who worked hard to beat the cap (including me) so can clearly relate to the frustration. I hope you have some very good reasons in life to enjoy this temporary set-back - God bless !

Coolizim

I understand the ''highlight'' as, all applications received on the same day although the NOC is capped is considered for processing. If this assumption is correct,then I cant quite understand why some members who had their application received by CIC on 08/07 had their CC/BD charged whilst few others were informed that their application were returned. Am I reading this right ?

Hi Sanity,

If you are correct i think that it could mean their applications were returned for other reasons that were not to do with the cap being filled otherwise they would have been considered and included the same as other applications received on that day..... it means they could be using a generic excuse as to why some applications are being returned as well....

Perhaps anyway Smiley

Agree richardo3 - I wish things would be a bit clear soon & we can start writing to the minister about how they could have dealt with screening the documents a bit better. Dont think it will do much good but hey , its the crying baby that gets the milk Smiley

Paid by BD. No idea when it was cashed ? The reply mail we received was unlike others stating that our application was received & is awaiting review . They will contact us in due course on the email addresses we provided on our application.
 I had posted that email on this thread sometime ago. Many people doubted it's authenticity as it began with words 'Good Morning'. I don't precisely know why they wished us morning when they didn't wish others. Only thing I know is we have written them thrice since last year  & every time our mail began with 'Good Day' , thereafter all the reply mails that we got,  each time they had words 'Good Morning' in it.

The only reason I can think of is that we greeted them & they greeted us back. That's all to it.

What is the role of the case processing centres?
A national mail-in service handles most applications made in Canada through
case processing centres (CPCs) in Vegreville, Alberta; Mississauga, Ontario;
and Sydney, Nova Scotia.
CPC Vegreville processes:
• extensions of temporary resident status and temporary resident
permits;
• work and study permits;
• applications for permanent residence by certain classes in Canada; and
• loans for the right of permanent residence fee.
CPC Mississauga processes applications to sponsor family members living
abroad.
CPC Sydney processes:
• applications for permanent resident cards; and
• citizenship applications (described in the “Citizenship” section of
this guide).
CPCs process about 80 percent of the applications made in Canada. Clients
and their representatives can check the progress of their applications
through the Web site or by contacting the Call Centre.
When sending an application to one of these centres, applicants should make
sure it is complete and that they have signed it. They must include all the
required information and documents, photographs and proof of fee payment.

the wordings are not important in western world. You think the mail be faked or system be hacked ?  unless the email address you sent be a fake id.......

then you wait and see

The email is genuine. Received from the same id as others (like jeca, viz, odv etc). CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry  @  cic.gc.ca

Yes, wording is important in the eastern part of the world as much as it is in the western part . In our case the PA ( principal applicant) has worked with clients in US, UK, Europe  & all over the world. I can't quite understand what's the issue with words 'Good morning'.
