Guys take a look please
LIST OF RELEVANT E-MAIL ADDRESSES
If you wish to use e-mail, here is a list of e-mail addresses. We have included other information you can use to make a complaint about the immigration issue:
(1) Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper: Harper.S @ parl.gc.ca (Ph. 613- 992-4211 ; Fax: (613) 941-6900
(2) Canada's Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, Jason Kenney: Kenney.J @ parl.gc.ca (Ph. 613-992-2235 ; Fax. 613-992-1920)
(3) The leaders of the other parties in Parliament : Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff (Ignatieff.M @ parl.gc.ca), NDP Leader Jack Layton (Layton.J @ parl.gc.ca) and BQ leader Gilles Duceppe (Duceppe.G @ parl.gc.ca)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
MP'S WHO ARE ON CANADA'S STANDING COMMITTEE ON CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION
(4) The 12 MP's who are on the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration spend most of their time discussing immigration and refugee issues. They make decisions on what immigration and refugee changes should be introduced to the House of Commons. Incredible as it may sound, they spend almost all of their time listening to Canada's immigration industry (immigration lawyers, immigration consultants and ethnic groups whose votes they want). These MP's need to hear from real Canadians. Here are their names and e-mail addresses :
Don Davies (don.davies @ parl.gc.ca) Roxanne James (roxanne.james @ parl.gc.ca) Costas Menegakis (costas.menehakis @ parl.gc.ca) Rathika Sitsabaiesan (rathika.sitsabaiesan @ parl.gc.ca) Rick Dykstra (rick.dykstra @ parl.gc.ca) Kevin Lamoureux (kevin.lamoureux @ parl.gc.ca) Ted Opitz (ted.opitz @ parl.gc.ca) David Tilson (david.tilson @ parl.gc.ca) Sadia Groguhe (sadia.groguhe @ parl.gc.ca) Chungsen Leung (chungsen.leung @ parl.gc.ca) Jinny Sims (jinny.sims @ parl.gc.ca) John Weston (john.weston @ parl.gc.ca)
(5) Canada's Minister responsible for the Canada Border Services Agency, which investigates fraud and deports offenders, Peter Van Loan: VanLoan.P @ parl.gc.ca
(6) Canada's Minister of Public Safety, Vic Toews : Toews.V @ parl.gc.ca (Ph: 613-992-3128 ; Fx:613-995-1049)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
AND also Canada's Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, Jason Kenney Phone: 613-992-2235 Fax: 613-992-1920 Email: minister @ cic.gc.ca

Why is it so difficult for people to accept that their applications were not part of the first 500. The CIC should have updated their website faster i agree but they were following their procedures like any other organization. By sending a mail it might just placate us but what action do you really expect from CIC?

Hi All - interesting twist and good idea! I would be happy to draft then letter for us if you think it would help? I could write this and post a copy on the forum for everyone to review before it is supplied. Also i don't think the Prime Minister is the right route, it needs to be directed at the Immigration Team, obviously to a top level. The Prime Minister is unlikely to have time or the interest to respond, he will have bigger things to worry about i'm afriad - not to say he's not a good guy, just a very busy one Sound like a plan? yes and no. prime minister is busy true, but the letter should be copied to him as well. should be addressed to minster in charge of these things and PM on copy. sending it to immegration team will lead to response "we deeply rgret the inconvenience caused blah blah blah"

Priyavig,
If you go through the last few posts you would see, why we are trying to put at effort to infrom CIC in a formal way. COOLISIM has one of friends, who had got a favorable response for a complain he has made to Citizen and Immigration Minister. So, i don't see any wrong in sending mails to CIC higher authorities, since that appears to be the only available hope for some of us.
Most of us, have already spent much money and time in this application process, so sending an extra mail, would not make the cost any higher.

"One of the more effective ways to contact politicians is to write or type an old-fashioned letter on paper and to use Canada's mail system. Such hard copy gets more attention than electronic copy. To send a hard copy letter to Canada's Prime Minister or any other MP, just use the MP's name and the following address: C/O Parliament Buildings, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0A6 "

I still haven't got the bad news from CIO, even though i posted the application after 10th July. But i believe that it will not take much longer time for me to receive the same from CIO.
However i talked to **spam** today. What she advised me was to get a letter drafted individually, because CIC will not entertain any collective request. Also, though almost all the forum members are appearing to be genuine, we cannot trust all the information provided by all of them. Since we also do not have a way to check their genuineness, it's highly possible that we will all end-up with a letter carrying, misinformation. This would sure lead the CIC Or to Minister to refuse at once.
So let us prepare our own letters, describing the situation. And i guess that this would be much powerful, when many of the applicants are complaining over the same issue, individually.
Let us know how it goes. I, personally just waiting to get the e mail from CIO, to send the letter.
Good Luck Mates!
i see your point and agree, i am ok with a collective letter, while i will have my consultant send a letter as well. it is in her best interest too as she has other clients who would be refused like me. drafting a letter is better than refunding sevral thousand dollars.

i have put in a lot of effort to compile the endless set of documents and invested time and money. to find myself out of the cap becuase of missinformation is not excusable. someone has not done their job well. the text on the cic site reads "Applications received toward the overall cap: 1,296 of 10,000 as of August 22, 2011"this means when they said 52 by late July it meant 52 application RECEIVED. not 52 applications OPENED.
