When I inquired with CIC, I got reply said that "Your submission is with our office and is currently awaiting initial assessment. You will be contacted in due course."

Hi gladiusraj,

I have applied under FSW, Category 1122. My application has been reached at CIC on 25th of July, 2011.

After 6 week of my application has been reached, I have inquired to CIC regarding the status of application. Below is the conversation.

i cannot make out that why mine was charged as it reached on aug 1st......and not of those after 8th july.....

i am totally surprised ....and was not hoping.....i will be super sad if this is some misunderstanding from CIO side....

lets see what happens. but i am not hopeful or excited at all. i hope they return my money back if they did some mistake and charged my cc

I send DD to cic and I tried two to three time to enquire about my DD encashment from bank but they are not able give me proper information about encashment. I made DD from SBI bank.

I think you are also 25th July applicant.

reading through the most recent posts it seems clear that something is not quite right with the way in which CIO is processing applications. while some of us have rcvd a negative response claiming the CAP was reached, yet other applications sent well after the so called cap date are being accepted. i suggest that all those who sent theirs in 2nd and 3rd week of July begin to demand CIO and relevant ministry to take corrective measures because...

1. they have knowingly and repeatedly published wrong and misleading data on an official government site
2. returned applications based on a fictional close date contradicting the updates
3. accepted applications received after this "fictional" close date

i would recommend all of us writing phoning or whatever and demand a just and fair selection system.

I am also under 1122 noc code and application was received on 22nd July, 2011. I got a reply earlier saying that my app is awaiting initial review and i will be contacted in due time. after few days I sent an email to ask about updates from different email than the email I used earlier. Still Waitin for their response as it's been about 15 days. Hopefully, will get reply in a day or two.

Could anyone tell me please what's the difference between awaiting initial review and awaiting initial assessment ? Are they meant same?

Ur suggestion will be appreciated.

I had been told that my application is returned on 20/09/2011. My Application was reached there on 20/07/2011. Surely, there is some strange pattern in accepting applications.

 its been almost 60 days since i have send my application ,so kindly advise me should i send mail to FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry  @  cic.gc.ca or should i wait plz reply!!!!!!!!!!!

I say no. Wait for at least 90 days. It took me about 90 days to get a reply. Anyway its your choice.

My application sent to CIO on 22nd august and the site was updated that the cap for 1122 has been reached. No response from CIO as of now. how/when my documents & DD got returned.
