Okay after reading posting on the forum I have come to believe I have set a record!!! My application was received November 1st 2010 and to date still have not received AOR or Medical request.  I only found out my Imm number by phoning the bank and getting a copy of the cashed bank draft.  In all this time I received only one email asking for Canadian Finger print criminal history check and that is it... Please if anyone else has had this problem let me know.. or if anyone has any ideas....... I have sent numerous emails to which received no replies alos been trying to update my address since June online and via email and now even my original address is gone from E-CAS So frustrated..  By the way I am a BC PNP (cert expires this month I hope this does not affect my app).

Hi Tanyar2408, mine is more than 7 months and still no MR, e-cas status is still "application received".  Our application was received by CIC last January 2011.  We applied on different CIC though....

Buffallo is very slow in processing due to volume of applications I believe.

dnt be frustrated, every case with visa office is peculiar. And every visa office is different in timeline. My application was received oct 20,2010.  But not uptill yesterday that they requested my MR, i did nt have any responce from them. U can imagine. The truth is there are many app in their hand. You may send an email to them, that might help. You will soon be contacted. Believe.

So just found out that they only started looking at my app in June..  makes you wonder!! they say it is first come first served so why is it people who applied this year have already got med requests?  (not that i have anything against those lucky enough to get them) so fingers crossed i get mine soon

The people who applied after you already received their AOR/ Med Req becasue they fall into normal processing I believe. By normal processing, I mean those people did not go through "Fingerprint Criminal Checks" which you did just a month back. So, the report will go back to them, they will verify, put into their records and so on. It obviously prolongs the processing. I also want to mention that Buffalo normally doesn't respond back well to any correspondence until one gets an AOR (especially till the FILE NO. is created). Moreover, these 'people' can only log into e-CAS after getting UCI#/Application#/File#. I guess you can use your e-CAS with your Client ID; but again the 'people' you mentioned could not till they got their AOR.

I know you are frustrated as it's really taking long for you. But good thing is you can log into e-CAS and see that files have been received.
