Got my 1st PER yesterday and I need to know what comes next & next and the probable timeline.
Rest, a small concern that is bothering me now.
Actually I didn't submit PCC along with application and this fact has been haunting me since beginning....timeline.!!
Since I require PCC from 3 countries and I am afraid that the submission time given by my VO to submit PCC and medicals might not be enough. E.g. VO asks me to submit all remaining doc. say with in 30-35 days and if PCC takes more than 1 month, I miss the submission deadline.
So leaving Medicals aside, I need advice me that since PCC is valid for 3 months:-
- When shall I better apply for PCC IN ADVANCE, before VO requests me so that as soon as VO asks, Ive them HANDY?
In short, when is the right time to apply for PCC IN ADVANCE? Say after 2-3 weeks from now or as soon as I get 2nd AOR?
- How much time VO generally gives to submit PCC & Medicals? Shall I do it now and just send them to CIO or VO, kind of submission in advance?........confused!!
- Other than PCC and medicals, is there any other major work/task to be done during the process?
thanks in advance
regards
Hi Rana,
Normally after you receive your PER, your file is transferred to your visa office...once they start processing your file they send the 2nd AOR....it normally takes about 3-4 weeks to get the 2nd AOR (if your VO is New Delhi)....m not sure about the other VO's...
After that it can take anywhere between 10-45 days to get MR....we have had applicants who received their MR within 10 days of 2nd AOR...and some havent received it even after 40 days

since u havent submitted the PCC with the initial application, they are sure to ask you to submit fresh ones when they issue the medicals.....so i suggest u wait before you apply for the PCC's....the visa office normally gives u anywhere between 45 - 60 days for submission

...so u should have enough time to get the PCC's.....
other than this there is nothing much u can do....the VO can ask for any documents which they think would be necessary

....it differs with each applicant....
Let me know if you need any further info..
