Hello damascus applicants,
we started a thread along with many other applicants under different category but this one is for family sponsorship thru damascus
let us share and compare
most of us are in process since end of april & early may but still not much progress
please applicants  who start IN PROCESS stage before APRIL can you join our group so we can update each other and this way estimate our next steps in damascus
maybe some of you are in canada now

Here is My timeline!!!  Family Class

-application sent to mississauga april 30 2010
-approval of sponorship on june 7th 2010
-In progress in damascus june 17th 2010
-got file number in mail on july 9th 2010
-request for more info on july 26th 2010
-submitted requested info july 28th 2010
- Now waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kamal did you submit your reqested info? did you hear anything from the embassy until now?
Rezan- damascus has started our applications at the same time.. what's your timline?

I was at the embassy last week and the women told me that damascus is very busy with lots of applications!! I really don't know what to expect!

damascus started processing my application on june 16
documents requested on july 26
1:civil state that shows my marital status in syria ,i got married in canada while i was there
so it will come up being single in syria .
2:military background and a copy of military card .i have an exemption decision cuz i am the only son of my family
3:certificat du selection already submitted and in process since july
4:landing fee
everything is done now we are waiting the certificat du selection and i have 45 days to send these docs.
anyone has questions dont hesitate to ask .i wish patience to all of us thank you .

The embassy started working on our application at a same time. also we are in a same category, spousal sponsorship. so we can help each other a lot.
here is my timeline:
the eligibility of sponsor approved : 04 june
damascus started processing: 17 june
sent an email requested for more info: 28 july
documents sent on : 1 aug
documents received to damascus: 3 august
nationality: iranian

you are in front of me in the queue ! please update me if you got any new information.
do you live in syria ? very nice to hear ! so you are able to ask the embassy in person.

Welcome eli, Please update your status again so I see if there is any missing info so you applied in canada get approved transfered file to Damascus on 24 Feb 2010 and In Process started 30 March 2010, that is fine, but can you clarify if you done your medical and if they requested Police certificate, unless you submitted those with original file by now they should request for those, please can you clarify, thanks
