No news  He has his interview scheduled for Feb 24th so really stressed about that because IMO it's too early for any good news. I did order CAIPS notes and just called today and the deadline for processing is Feb 12th - so we should get those prior to his interview which will help ... I hope. Have you ordered CAIPS notes? to be honest - i think you guys are just going through the normal process by the looks of it.... and even with an ARC, shouldn't be long. OK - anyone else? ARC? Share experiences  |

Hey Homesoon,
I hope that your interview goes smoothly.
I am confused about what stage longdistance and I are in.... I hope it is near the end!!! KG has now had our file for 13 months. We have not had any requests for anything though....except for the fees and the medical re-do.
This is my second time around though so maybe because they did all this last time they are not going to request it again.
I guess no one else wants to share their ARC story/timeline.

Looks like it's still just you and me!! lol
Anyway, yes we did have an interview the first time. I was going to order my CAIPS notes the day that hubby got the letter to pay the fees and the med re-do but I didn't send it in as I thought we might be close to the end now.... no further news yet but I mean, he just paid the fees on Jan 7 and I think our BF date is feb 3...so we will see. If I hear nothing by mid feb I will order them.

Hi all I would like to share my ARC experience with you guys.
I'm being sponsored by my wife of twelve years and we have three Canadian born children together, my application is being assess at the Port-Of-Spain office, my application started prossessing in may 09, I received request for payment of ARC fees and removal costs dated October 09.
I require the ARC due to criminality over 10 years ago in Canada for which I receive a pardon for.
I have a friend who went through the same process at the same office but his ARC was denied, he said he receive his ARC denial letter one month after submitting his ARC fees and the letter said he can appeal the decision which he did and he won his appeal and now he's back in Canada, he said the whole process including his appeal took 16 months to complete.

Thanks for sharing!! So you have not heard any news since you paid the fees and submitted the letter in Oct 09?? My husband also was deported due to criminality (he also has a pardon). How long have you been out of Canada? Was your friend due to criminality or an overstay?

The letter was dated Oct,09, it was submitted in mid December, no I haven't heard anything from them as of yet, I left Canada in March,09. My app was ready for submission when I left Canada, it just needed proof of meds & PCC, so the very next day after I got back in my country I applied for the police certificate and meds. I'll have to ask my friend why he required the ARC. I'm always reading the Jam thread ... (sorry I don't have access to a computer to respond or post I'm using my cell phone) |
